(Video) Haters, crybabies and losers should not watch this video!
By Athletes' Acceleration | September 9th, 2008
The last 48 hours have been unbelievable.
I’m disgusted, quite frankly.
In fact, I’m *almost* at a loss for words.
But before you look at my video I have to warn
you. If you didn’t take my subject line seriously
or are easily offended, DO NOT watch this entire
video. I’m serious.
So many in the industry don’t want to offend anyone
so they don’t say anything other than the usual,
predictable, technical rhetoric.
If you’re looking for that guy, I am not him.
If you want to hear the No Bullsh** version of
sports performance reality, hit the play button…

Latif,
I’m happy to see that you stepped up and addressed this issue. There are a lot haters and crybabies out there in the forums everyday. It’s amazing that some people can be nice in front of your face and put them on a forum and BAM the real person inside comes out. All I got to say is we just got to have more love in this world.

Hey Latif,
Sometimes you just have to drop the hammer down on the haters. And, today you certainly did just that. Brother Latif, I hope you got this out of your system so you can spend your time doing what you do best-teach athletes and show other coaches how it gets done!
Peace-
Matt

Let the haters hate. They cant make you or break you. They could hate for years and it wont do a thing.
But some people or teams you love to hate. example the boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. who is cocky and really everyone wanna mess him up but he is so good.
Sometimes those hater hate things so much that is eating them inside and making them forget the own main goal.

Hey Latif,
You do make me giggle. Give to people straight! The problem is petty jealousy and the whole lack of ownership of situations. You make a valid point when you said ‘when your team isn’t as good as another team you want to know why’ and then go out to find out ‘why’. People need to stop the blame culture and take ownership!
Keep it up, honesty is always the best policy and stay cool.

Latif,
This is was a great message to all those haters and crybabies. We all have had to deal with them. I am a Cowboys fan but when they get beat its because the other team was better on that day or year. Last year I was glued to the TV cheering for New England to make history. What the Hates do not know is that they drive us to be better athletes, coaches and people. I hope next year Brady come back 10x better. Those haters have pushed those of us who know better to excel. They have pushed you to put out a great product. Those hater coaches are always trying to blame us for their downfall. I agree with you they need to look at themselves. It is them who are hurting the athletes. I have a 12 year old that runs track for me. This year he broke the national record not once but twice this year for his age group. I have heard hater (other coaches and parents) say, “Big deal it not like he broke the world record”. How sad these coaches and parents do not see the damage they are doing to sports and athletes. So Latif, keep doing what you do and let the haters hate and use them as fuel to keep you going.

Hey Latif, its was so refreshing for me when you brought up this topic as this is the major one which I feel may be the reason I give up athletics coaching. I am 21 and have been running private athletics squads since I was 15, but I originally started coaching at 13 to help out my club with the young kids, and quickly took a liking to hit, and now it is my passion, thus the reason I started my own squads. At the start I only had a handful of athletes, but over time they succeeded more and more and my squad sizes have steadily increased to the point that this year alone I have had over 80 athletes train with me, privately! But with my success comes all the hate, like the coaches with the “10 years or more experience” and such that can’t stand the fact that parents and athletes are seeking me out and not them. I also have been taking different approaches to my training for quite some time, like dynamic warm ups instead of static stretching, and also short-to-long periodization instead of aerobic base work. Its funny that at the start these coaches said I was doing things completely wrong but as time goes by they seem to be changing their minds. Don’t get me wrong, there are some coaches out there that give me plenty of support and encouragement, but there are a few in particular that spread bulls#@t rumors which have got back to me and got me in tears, I never expected when I first started out coaching that with success comes this hate! All I have ever wanted was the best thing for my athletes, and that required doing my research to find the best info and techniques out there, and by doing that I found YOU! So thank you Latif, keep up the good work!!

Hello latif
What a good topic, its funny but my team got beat at the weekend & I am just about to go training this evening and I’m going to use your words in the talk before we start.
Taking ownership of your failure and not looking to pass it off to somemone else, but to look at how you can turn it around and use it to improve.
